From Business Owner to Finance Partner — Ben’s Journey
KeyLink was born from Ben’s own experience running businesses and navigating finance the hard way. With a background in business ownership and a degree in finance, he saw firsthand how poorly the system serves entrepreneurs — and set out to build something better.Here’s how it all came together.
2008
Studied to become a mortgage broker
Ben completed his studies Kaplan Business School, graduating with a Cert IV Financial Services (Mortgage Broking)
2016
Completed Finance Degree
Ben attended the University of South Australia from 2012-2016 to complete his Bachelor of Applied Finance.
2016
Started Rocket Wealth Management
With his new qualification, Ben set out to start Rocket Wealth Management, a financial planning firm in Adelaide.
2024
Sold and Exited Rocket Wealth
After 8 years of business, Ben recieved an offer to sell and exited for a 7 figure deal.
2025
Founded KeyLink Mortgage Brokers
KeyLink launched to solve a gap in the market: mortgage broking for business owners. Ben launched in 2025 and has his eyes set on quickly becoming the go-to broker for business owners.
